HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
There are pro bono opportunities to match all skills, interests and availability.

  • Extended Representation – Represent a client within your specialty or experience and/or with training and support from BayLegal;
  • Limited Representation – Represent or assist a client on a limited basis with a specific issue, matter, and/or hearing (for example: domestic violence restraining order hearing);
  • Domestic Violence Restraining Order Clinics – Staff and volunteers assist pro per litigants with the paperwork needed to receive a temporary restraining order. BayLegal conducts Clinics in Redwood City, throughout Contra Costa County, and is a partner in San Francisco's Cooperative Restraining Order Clinic (CROC).
  • Consult with a client – on a issue within your specialty and/or after you receive training;
  • Co-counsel – with BayLegal staff or a less experienced volunteer;
  • Mentor – consult with BayLegal staff attorneys and volunteers in areas of your specialty;
  • Research/Investigation – assist with research and investigation of systemic legal issues facing the indigent to improve access to justice.
